Accurate assessments and early intervention by PCPs can promote children’s mental health and play a critical role in affecting present and future mental health problems because half of all lifetime mental health disorders occur before 14 years of age.

Through lecture, case studies, and facilitated development presented by experts in the field, this 2nd National Institute will provide PCPs with the essential knowledge and skills to assess and intervene early for common mental health problems/disorders in children, teens and families.
